"For fuck’s sake, Hide! There ain’t a damn thing to talk ‘bout!"
Fingers dug into his own legs as he spoke, tone raising up slightly. His defenses were going up, even against the albino. He didn’t care who it was—he wouldn’t let anyone else experience the tormet he suffered. He deserved every bit of it, he deserved to be tormented and weighed down in that sick little mind of his. He was sick after all—he knew he was.
"Sleep doesn’t drag me back in there—keeps me from there as long as it is a good sleep. Ain’t nothin’ wrong anyways. So ya can leave and tend to yer shoulder while I fix my goddamn door."
[🎮] — “Why do ya lie straight to my face? … You really expect me to believe that lie that there’s nothin’ to talk about? That that defense will stand up again me?" Hideki sucked in a sharp breath— he wasn’t giving up. He didn’t care whatever happened to himself, but he wanted to peel back those hurt layers to get to the core of everything that was pulling Raiden down and holding him there. The ravenette didn’t deserve all of that— he was the only one bringing his own death earlier than it should be, even though he honestly believed it.
“… Stop trying to hide from me.”
"Ya know what I want? I want ya to leave so I can try and get the fuck back to sleep."
The albino’s snappy tone had irritated Raiden further than he already was. He roughly sat up and tucked his legs close, rubbing his face with one bare hand. He knew the other had possibly injured himself, but at the moment—he was a bit too bothered to care too much about it. “Go ice yer damn shoulder.”
Aggravated fingers reached back and propped up the pillows, leaning back against them slowly. He inhaled sharply and followed with an exhale of the same intensity. His eyes were hidden behind messy strands, tucking his legs up once more so he would have more space—in his mind.
[🎮] — “… No. I’m not going anywhere— and you’re not sleeping, just burying yourself deeper into that dark little world in your head." He rolled his shoulder again, wincing slightly at the jolt that shot through it but ignored it from this point. Hideki sat cross legged on the bed, not going to budge an inch no matter how much Raiden tried— sometimes he needed to be stubborn to get to him.
“… Why don’t you talk to me about it? What are you scared of me doing— runnin’ away? Getting upset and leaving? Do you really think I’d do that to you now that ya know how I feel? When I said I wouldn’t leave yer side I fuckin’ meant it." His tone had lost its snap from earlier, now just quieter and firm as if to get his point across.
“So talk to me, Raiden. What demons have pulled you down now into their hell?”
Raiden was lying on his stomach, face slightly pushed into the pillows and arms wrapped around it—like it was some form of a life line. He always laid like that, it was just how he felt the most comfortable. His shirt was bunched up, revealing scars along his back. His eyes had been closed—until he heard the soft wrapping of knuckles on his door.
Purposefully ignoring the other’s soft call, his slid his eyes shut once more, turning his head to face the wall rather than his door. It was when the rough slams into the door that he became more animated—jumping and swearing under his breath in surprise. He didn’t have any time to gather himself as the door was forced open, stormy grey optics staring at the other in shock.
"—the fuck, Hide! Ya broke my damn door!"
[🎮] — The albino was grasping his shoulder as if to ease the pain as he entered the smaller room, eyebrows knitting in at the words following his entrance. The door can be fixed at the very least— his shoulder might take a while.
“… Your point bein’? Considering ya jammed it." Hideki’s tone came out more snappy than he intended it to— well, he was upset that the other had locked himself in again rather than trying, trying to tell him. “At least it’s not off its hinges." Almost. His heel pushed the door back so it was only was slightly ajar. He rolled his shoulder once before sitting down on the corner of the bed and looking over at him.
“… I did say I just wanted to talk, right? It’s not like I’ll strangle ya.”
[🎮] — … It wasn’t as if he didn’t notice the shift in Raiden’s mood that had gradually dropped with time, but the albino wasn’t sure how to approach the situation. Fingers tapped slowly against the kitchen table; he knew the other was upstairs in his room and probably didn’t want to be bothered, but Hideki couldn’t just leave it like that. He couldn’t leave the other to sink into that other world of thoughts that clawed at one’s sanity.
He pushed himself up from the seat and slowly padded upstairs, rapping his knuckles on the door and quietly saying his name— with no response. He knew the other probably jammed his door, si the albino shifted and roughly shoved his shoulder against the door once, twice… it was only by the fifth slam that the door finally jerked open. His shoulder was sore, but he got in so the pain could be ignored for now.
“Raiden— don’t— you DARE push me out or lock yourself in that hole in your head. I just want to talk.”
